“浪姐”翻译为 wave sisters，对吗？
综艺栏目《乘风2023》已在本月正式上线。从“浪姐”第一季到如今的第四季，每一季的姐姐都美得各有特色，小编总是不禁感叹：姐姐们都不会老的吗！？
第四季《乘风破浪的姐姐》已正式改名为《乘风2023》，虽说去掉了“浪”也去掉了“姐姐”，但该栏目还是秉持着原来的赛制与“配方”。因此，还是有很多网友坚持将这期栏目叫作“浪姐 4”。

无论是《乘风破浪的姐姐》还是《乘风2023》，这样的栏目名称都充分体现了姐姐们不畏险阻，勇往直前的精神。我们可以由此联想到很多与此相关的古诗词。比如：

“乘风破浪”的英文翻译可以比较灵活多样，比如：ride the wind and waves；brave winds and waves；cut through the wind and waves on one's way towards 等等，都可以表达相关的含义。
近期，有报道这样介绍这档栏目：
Announced last week, the reality show - whose title Chengfengpolang De Jiejie, roughly translated as "Sisters riding the winds and breaking waves" - will feature 30 Chinese female stars who are - gasp - over 30, vying for a spot in a five-member band.
这里用 Sisters riding the winds and breaking waves 作为这档栏目名称的翻译，比“ride the wind and waves”更多了一层“breaking”，更能展示姐姐们突破自我，呈现精彩表演的过程。
另一个广为流传的翻译版本为 Sisters Who Make Waves，这个翻译的结构也很简单清晰，make wave 就是“制造浪潮”“引起轰动”，再用 who 引导定语从句来形容 sisters 也是很恰当的，毕竟这档节目还被网友们戏称为 “兴风作浪的姑奶奶们”，各种热搜名场面层出不穷。

节目中，朱珠曾用三个英文单词形容姐姐们的魅力，分别是 original，daring 和 haunting。
original 这个单词在辞典中的释义为existing at the beginning of a particular period, process or activity，也就是“初期的”“原有的”。在作形容词时，还可以引申为“真迹的”“新创作的”“独创的”等等；在作名词时，可指“（艺术作品的）原稿”“原版书或唱片”“滑稽有趣的人”等等。
在这档节目中，original 被翻译为“原汁原味的”。

第二个词汇 daring 的意思是愿意做危险的或不寻常的事情的，即“大胆的”“勇敢的”“无畏的”“勇于创新的”，含有相似含义的单词还有 bold（brave and confident; not afraid to say what you feel or to take risks），brave（willing to do things that are difficult, dangerous or painful; not afraid），courageous（showing courage），heroic（showing extreme courage and admired by many people），fearless（not afraid, in a way that people admire）等等。
